An ordained United Methodist pastor, Pat is a member of the North Carolina Conference and has served Oxford United Methodist Church since 2006. She is a North Carolina native and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Watts School of Nursing and the Divinity School at Duke University. Pat and her late husband, Rick, are the parents of two grown daughters, Katie and Sara, as well as Anya (Russian for grace!)the Wonder Dog, whose name and demeanor are a consistent reminder of God's grace.

John is beginning his third year at Oxford UMC. John is passionate about sharing Christ's love and being a Daddy to his two daughters! He was born in Concord and has been fortunate enough to live in North Carolina his entire life. John also works as an assistant principal at Wilton Elementary School. He has BA from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and a Master's of School Administration from North Carolina State University. He has two daughters; Kory, who is in the 4th grade and Taylor, who is in the 3rd grade. When not working at church or school, John loves golf, football and going to the beach.

Karen Brown is our Office Administrator. Karen has been working for Oxford United Methodist Church since 2004. She manages all day to day activities of the church including bookkeeping, scheduling and other responsibilities as directed by the Pastor and any one that needs something done. Karen has been married to her husband, Jerry for 28 years. They have four children; Kimberly, 28, Trent, 23, Liz, 20 and Olivia, 9.

Susanne, our most recent staff addition, is the proud mother of three beautiful girls; Meredith, 18, Stephanie, 14 and Madison 9. She is a graduate of East Carolina University with a degree in fashion merchandising. After 12 years working as a retail buyer, she retired to embrace the joys of motherhood. As Coordinator of Lay Minstries, Susanne matches church member volunteers to various ministry opportunities. She teaches Sunday School, helps with Bible Zone and the nursery and has even tackled the challenge of playing on the Hand Bell Choir.

Ellen Thompson has been with the Learning Tree Preschool since it opened in 1995. She has been the Director and teacher of our 4-year-old classes since 1998. Ellen is a graduate of North Carolina State University. She is married to Reid, a software engineer and they have two children, Jake-16 and Maggie- 13.

Sandy Huff has been a member of the Learning Tree family for five years. She became the lead teacher of the three year old class in 2008. She graduated from Danville Community College in 1998. She is married to Randall and has two children, Ridge and Samantha.

Heather Just has been a member of OUMC since 2003. She has been a teacher at the Learning Tree for three years. Heather is a graduate of Lehigh University. She is married to George and has three children, Maxwell, Samuel and Anna.
